Editors --- "Editorial Note" [2001] VUWLawRw 26; (2001) 32(3) Victoria University of Wellington Law Review iii

Editorial Note

This is a special issue of the Law Review on a number of counts.

It is the issue for 2001 that is produced in collaboration with the New Zealand Association for Comparative Law, and the Revue Juridique Polynesienne. Each year this collaboration brings a new range of topics and contributors to the Law Review. This year the NZ Association for Comparative Law, in its Yearbook, marks the life and work of the late Professor Alexander Szakats. The Revue, for its part, has dedicated its 2001 issue to the life and work of the late Professor Friedrich Juenger. The Law Review is pleased to be associated with those tributes.

The other special feature of this issue is the inclusion of a legal history monograph on the use of the Mäori language in government in the 19th century in New Zealand.
